Abstract
⺠We investigated the role of SBR on the frictional behavior of brake composite. ⺠Addition of SBR affects slightly the frictional behavior of resin-based materials. ⺠When the SBR becomes the binder, the frictional behavior alters significantly. ⺠In rubber-based composites, the fade and recovery are improved and COF increases. ⺠The wear loss versus frictional work was found to follow a linear universal curve.
