Abstract
► NiAl intermetallic compound coatings with single phase composition were in situ synthesized by using laser cladding technique. ► The effects of laser cladding parameters on the phase composition, microstructure and wear resistance of the resulting NiAl coatings were systematically investigated. ► The dependence of wear resistance of the laser cladding NiAl coating on applied normal load and sliding speed were also examined.
