Abstract
⺠A batch process for RO desalination is presented. ⺠The process is driven by an expanding gas generated from the solar-Rankine cycle. ⺠A novel mechanical coupling arrangement is used. ⺠The whole is system is analysed and found to be promising for applications requiring high recovery.
