Abstract

âº Synthesis of new adsorbent, polyazomethineamides (PAMA). âº Removal of Pb(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions using PAMA. âº Adsorption of heavy metal ions onto PAMA was pH dependent and optimum pH was 6.0. âº Adsorption capacity is in the order of Cu(II)>Cd(II)>Pb(II). âº Adsorption kinetics was followed by pseudo-second-order model.
