Abstract
⺠Autopsy can understand change in properties of old membranes after long operation. ⺠Membrane becomes less negatively charged with age increasing its fouling potential. ⺠Old membrane material appears less flexible and brittle may cause integrity problems. ⺠Si, Ca, biopolymers and humic substances were the major membrane foulants.
