Abstract
⺠A typical nuclear power plant coupled to a desalination system is optimized. ⺠Objective functions based on thermodynamic and thermoeconomic analysis are obtained. ⺠The cost of the system product and exergetic efficiency of the system are optimized. ⺠A decision-making process for selection of the final optimal solution is introduced. ⺠Results obtained using various optimization scenarios are compared and discussed.
