Abstract
The introduction of m-terphenyl (MTP) moieties in the hydrophobic segments of sulfonated aromatic block copolymer membranes is investigated. It was found that MTP contributed to higher ion exchange capacity values (up to 2.13 meq/g) and higher proton conductivity (up to ca. 400 mS/cm at 95% RH and 80 °C) compared to the polymers with the same hydrophilic segments.106
