Abstract
⸠Sodium alginate (SA)/polyvinylalcohol (PVA) were complexed with divalent calcium ions. ⸠Annealing process leads to the shrinkage of free volume between the polymer chains. ⸠The performance of membranes for water-methanol separation was investigated. ⸠Annealed membranes exhibited the molecular sieving effect.
