Abstract
ⶠSulphur binders change the stoichiometry of the perovskite structure, thus forming non-ionic conduction domains which constrain ionic diffusion. ⶠEnhanced oxygen flux of perovskite hollow fibres by replacing sulphur binders in the synthesis process with sulphur free binder. ⶠHigh performance perovskite hollow fibres, which aided by surface modification with Pd nano-catalysts, increased oxygen fluxes by a factor of 10 at temperatures below 700 °C. ⶠWe show for the first time oxygen fluxes in excess of the coveted target of 10 ml minâ1 cmâ2 pursued by the research community in the last 10 years for operation under modest oxygen partial pressure gradient (<21 kPa) created by atmospheric air feed and sweep gas.
