Abstract
⺠The MTB had a lower cost but a higher accuracy than the conventional biodosimetry. ⺠The lamp output was monitored by a micro-fluorescent silica detector. ⺠The lamp output was accurately tuned by using an adjustable ballast. ⺠The viable number of challenge microorganism was greatly reduced. ⺠The dependence of fluence on water temperature was readily determined.
