Abstract
⺠This study is on the preparation of heterogeneous cation exchange membranes. ⺠Dioctyl phthalate and an phosphonium based ionic liquid are used as plasticizer. ⺠Membranes are characterized by physicochemically, electrochemically and morphologically. ⺠Their separation performance is measured by Donnan dialysis. ⺠Diffusivity values of Na+ ions are found in the order of magnitude-5.
