Abstract
The growing possibility of the application of liquid metals in cooling systems has prompted the development of new materials based on Ga, which could work at room temperature and are non-toxic. Among such materials is eutectic Ga-Sn-Zn, which is characterised by higher thermal conductivity, density, surface tension, viscosity and electrical conductivity compared to water. In this study, the effect of Al addition to eutectic Ga-Sn-Zn was investigated. The experimental results show decreases in density, viscosity and thermoelectric power, and increasing surface tension, electrical and thermal conductivity of Ga-Sn-Zn-Al alloys with increasing Al content.
