Abstract
An improved algorithm combing a Kriging response surface and the multi-objective genetic algorithm is successful and effective to optimize shell and tube heat exchanger with helical baffles. Besides this method can apply to other complex engineering problems since this method can overcome the dependence on empirical correlations.94
