Abstract
► A novel cylindrical oblique fin minichannel heat sink is proposed. ► The cooling effectiveness is studied through numerical simulation and experimental prototype tests. ► The streamline flow in main channel is broken and thinned at each entrance of the secondary channel. ► The averaged Nusselt number increases up to 75.6% and the average total thermal resistance reduces up to 59.1%. ► The developed system requires a comparable pumping power compared with the conventional heat sink.
