Abstract
⺠A novel cylindrical oblique fin minichannel heat sink is proposed. ⺠The cooling effectiveness is studied through numerical simulation and experimental prototype tests. ⺠The streamline flow in main channel is broken and thinned at each entrance of the secondary channel. ⺠The averaged Nusselt number increases up to 75.6% and the average total thermal resistance reduces up to 59.1%. ⺠The developed system requires a comparable pumping power compared with the conventional heat sink.
