Abstract
⺠We proposed a new flow conditioner, wavy pipe, for mitigating severe slugging. ⺠The effectiveness of wavy pipe is verified by experimental data. ⺠The region for severe slugging to occur can be reduced with a wavy pipe applied. ⺠The fluctuations of pressure and liquid production in the system can be depressed. ⺠The wavy pipe works by modifying the stratified flow to others in the pipeline.
