Abstract
⺠Illustrate film cooling performance of consoles on a blade suction side. ⺠Assess effects of major factors on the film cooling effectiveness and discharge coefficient. ⺠Console geometry shows a different behavior of secondary vortices as cylindrical holes. ⺠Coolant jet from the console is of the flow feature for suppressing normal penetration. ⺠Such detailed film cooling results about consoles have not been reported earlier.
