Abstract

- Organic and carbon xero/cryo/aerogels were measured by thermoporometry (TPM).
- Measurements optimised for wetting/washing sample, heating rate, water:sample mass.
- Specific features of pore structure: broad PSD, pores up 100 nm, low pore volumes.
- No separation of overlapped pore and bulk peaks was necessary.
- Comparison of porous structure by 3 techniques: TPM, N2 gas sorption and SEM.
