Solid-liquid equilibria of three binary systems of anthracene with 2-phenylimidazole, 4,5-diphenylimidazole and 2,4,5-triphenylimidazole

▸ Three new SLE diagrams of anthracene with phenylimidazoles were determined using DSC. ▸ Solid-liquid equilibria binary systems formed a simple eutectic diagrams. ▸ The {anthracene + 2-phenylimidazole} mixture exhibits more non-ideal behavior than the two others. ▸ The Thammann's method was used to determine the eutectic composition (xe). ▸ The intermolecular interactions are influenced by the steric hindrance of phenyl radicals.
