Abstract
⸠Kinetics of chlorination of MoO3 was studied by thermogravimetry. ⸠The starting temperature for the reaction is determined at about 770 K. ⸠An average activation energy of 211 kJ molâ1 for the chlorination was determined. ⸠A reaction order of 1 with respect to chlorine partial pressure was obtained. ⸠A complete reaction rate equation was formulated for two MoO3 sample morphologies.
