Abstract
► Thermal decomposition of neat TiAP, TiAP-nitric acid-solvates and its solutions in two diluents have been studied in detail. ► The decomposition reactions were found to be exothermic with large pressure rise forming blackish residue. ► The enthalpy change and the kinetic parameters of decomposition have been derived for the first time. ► The heat capacities of the acid-solvates have been measured using Differential Scanning Calorimeter. ► The onset temperature of decomposition of acid-solvates depended on the amount of the acid present.
