Abstract
⺠Thermal decomposition of neat TiAP, TiAP-nitric acid-solvates and its solutions in two diluents have been studied in detail. ⺠The decomposition reactions were found to be exothermic with large pressure rise forming blackish residue. ⺠The enthalpy change and the kinetic parameters of decomposition have been derived for the first time. ⺠The heat capacities of the acid-solvates have been measured using Differential Scanning Calorimeter. ⺠The onset temperature of decomposition of acid-solvates depended on the amount of the acid present.
