Abstract
⺠Latent heat in degrees of freedom is unavailable energy of ice versus liquid water. ⺠The decrease in latent heat from cooling below 275 K is balanced by adhesion. ⺠Fluid mechanics characterizes change in the viscous properties of interfacial water. ⺠Net free energy of freezing generates histologically disruptive force.
