Abstract
► Isothermal decomposition kinetics of KBrO3 in the range 668-683 K by TG. ► Effect of trivalent dopant ions, Al3+ and PO43−, on the kinetics decomposition. ► Decomposition follows contracting square model with two different rate constants. ► Diffusion of ions, K+ and BrO3−, is determining the rate in both stages. ► A eutectic of KBr-KBrO3 is formed in the stage 2 process of the decomposition.
