Abstract
Though solar is still miniscule, a cross-section of industry observers, including major utility executives, believe solar will provide as much as 15 to 20 percent of the nation's power by 2030. As solar grows into a resource of that magnitude, the inherently distributed nature of this niche technology will influence other changes in the electric power sector.
