Abstract
New tannin-based xerogels presenting very high pore volumes and, for some of them, also having a developed mesoporosity have been obtained by a very simple method. Such new characteristics have been reached through the use of F-127 Pluronic® surfactant. These materials are expected to be excellent carbon precursors for a broad range of applications.
