Abstract
⺠We use spatial data on potential supply and demand to predict bioenergy potential. ⺠Calculations for England indicate theoretical potential of 383 PJ from bioenergy. ⺠This would be less detrimental to food production than 27 PJ of wheat bioethanol. âºÂ Feedstock end use significantly affects predicted total bioenergy generation. ⺠Socioeconomic obstacles may limit realisation of biomass generation potential.
