Abstract
⺠Glycerol can be converted to olefins. ⺠Zeolite-based ZSM-5 catalysts are used in this process. ⺠General chemistry, mechanisms and processes for alcohol conversion to hydrocarbons are reviewed. ⺠Mechanisms and processes for glycerol conversion to olefins are reviewed. ⺠Glycerol to olefins process offers sustainable and environmentally friendly technology.
