Abstract
► Combined catalyst and O2 carrier systems are developed for partial oxidation of naphthalene. ► CSFM and ilmenite as the O2 carrier materials show excellent O2 storage capacity. ► Catalyst NiO has an excellent conversion ability of naphthalene. ► CuO sorbent showed its suitability for trace gas (H2S) elimination. ► The combined material systems are efficient for naphthalene removal in biomass gasification.
