Abstract
Municipal electric utilities rely upon the good will of customers, commissioners, council members, and other leaders to function well, which requires that they proactively communicate the benefits they bring to the community. Through joint action, Wisconsin's WPPI Energy assisted its 51 member utilities with these efforts, which have received a positive response and enhanced public perception at the local level.
