Abstract
An analysis of the deployment of wind within China's power grid based on the ‘self-organizing’ theory of industry evolution shows that positive feedback has not yet been established between the share of wind generation in China's power system and the capacity to absorb wind power. The need for effective storage remains the greatest challenge to further deployment.
