Abstract
- An industrial Saccharomyces cerevisiae was engineered for cellulosic sugars utilization.
- The engineered yeast fermented cellobiose and xylose simultaneously.
- The ethanol yield and productivity were 0.38 g/g and productivity (2.00 g/L·h).
- Continuous co-fermentation of cellobiose and xylose is demonstrated.
