- Butane and TCE kinetics by suspended and immobilized cells at 15 and 30 °C.
- Cell adhesion increases butane (15 and 30 °C) and TCE (15 °C) biodegradation rate.
- Butane/TCE inhibition: competitive for free cells, mainly mixed for attached cells.
- Cell immobilization significantly reduces the mutual butane/TCE inhibition.
- Simulated continuous-flow biofilm PFR: 99.96% TCE conversion with 0.4-0.5Â day HRT.
