Abstract
⺠Two novel bioaugmented and biostimulated carrier material were assessed in 50 l mesocosm. ⺠Mussel shells were most effective in degrading weathered oil. ⺠Approximately 75% of the weathered oil was degraded. ⺠Carrier materials were shown to be non toxic and non intrusive to native seawater community.
