Abstract
► The microalga Chlorella sorokiniana 12 exhibited high growth rate in under aerated conditions. ► It yielded up to1.44 g L−1 biomass and 24.90% extracts of dry weight. ► The major components of its extracts were straight chain alkane and fatty alcohols. ► It is a promising feedstock for biofuel production.
