Abstract
⺠Pine wood was treated with 1-H-methylimidazolium chloride. ⺠Treatment effectively removed lignin and hemicellulose. ⺠Cellulose rich fractions were hydrolyzed into glucose with cellulase. ⺠Demonstration of reactive delignification in ionic liquids for pretreatment.
