Abstract
⺠Nafion-212 resin was firstly used for the HAA of 2-MF with acetone and butanal. ⺠Nafion-212 resin was the most active and stable among the investigated catalysts. ⺠Butanal is more reactive than acetone in the HAA reaction with 2-MF. ⺠Higher carbon yields of diesel were obtained with the HAA product of 2-MF and butanal. ⺠Ni-WxC/C exhibited good performance and stability in the HDO of HAA products.
