Abstract
⺠A novel approach to recycle lignocellulosics, reduce environmental problems and convert agro-residues to high value-added biomaterials. ⺠Wheat straw was used to produce bacterial cellulose by enzymatic hydrolysis. ⺠[AMIM]Cl was chosen to pretreat wheat straw to enhance enzymatic saccharification. ⺠Several influence factors on the ionic liquid pretreatment were investigated. ⺠Mechanisms behind the acceleration of enzymatic saccharification were discussed.
