Abstract
⺠System borders are decisive for biorefining efficiency. ⺠High exploitation of feedstock potential and substitution efficiency are the keys. ⺠Nutrient efficiency depends on efficiency of substitution for mineral fertilisers. ⺠Share of combustion and heat utilisation are decisive for energy efficiency. ⺠Biorefining increases efficiency in comparison to the current situation.
