Abstract
⺠SSFF is a novel method combining SSF and SHF. ⺠SSFF use membranes to separate hydrolysis and fermentation. ⺠Ethanol yield of 85.0% of the theoretical value was obtained in SSFF. ⺠SSFF allows optimum condition in both hydrolysis and fermentation. ⺠SSFF allows the fermenting cultures to be reused for several cultivations.
