Abstract
⺠Continuous anaerobic fermentation of glucose for biofuel production. ⺠Promotion of acidogenesis by γ-alumina. ⺠Acetic acid was more than 90% of total VFAs produced. ⺠γ-Alumina enhanced production of acetic acid and ethanol. ⺠Ethanol levels able to esterify 85% of the produced VFAs.
