Abstract
► A new process for Cr(VI)-detoxification was proposed. ► Polypyrrole-engineered pulp fibers were used as the biosorbent. ► Hydrogen peroxide was used as oxidant to prepare the engineered fibers. ► The process was demonstrated as an effective alternative for Cr(VI)-detoxification.
