Abstract
⺠Enzymatic surface functionalization provide high level of hydrophobic behavior to substrates. ⺠Enzymatic treatments on paper sheets to improve their hydrophobic characteristics. ⺠Natural dispersant improves the enzymatic treatment, providing three positive effects never described before. ⺠High bond strength between the enzyme-modified hydrophobic compound and the fibers.
