Abstract
⺠Exopolysaccharide Ps1-1 was prepared from Penicillium griseofulvum. ⺠Ps1-1 consists of a long chain of galactofuranan and a mannose core. ⺠Galactofuranan chain contains galactofuranose residues with phosphate esters. ⺠Mannose core is composed of mannopyranose residues with branches. ⺠Ps1-1 appears to be a galactomannan different from previously described exopolysaccharides.
