Abstract
⺠The waste product olive mill wastewater was subjected to hydrothermal treatment. ⺠Biochar production is low due to low carbohydrate content. ⺠Simple biophenols are almost quantitatively released from aglycons during the process. ⺠Phenol, benzenediols, and carboxylic acids proved most abundant analytes.
