Abstract
⺠Biomass carbon-based solid acid catalyst was prepared by sulfonation. ⺠The catalyst had good dispersion and hydrophobic properties. ⺠Low temperature carbonization helped to increase acid density. ⺠A maximum ester yield of 98% was obtained.
