Abstract
► We assessed the ability to decolorize RBBR dye of four fungi strains. ► We developed and validated a HPLC-MS/MS analytical method for RBBR quantification. ► Analytical method was selective, accurate and precise, detecting 4.6 pM of RBBR. ► Aspergillus flavus removed >99% of RBBR, and four major degradation products were observable.
