Abstract
⺠Up to 111 g Lâ1 2,3-butanediol (BDL) were produced in high nutritional medium. ⺠Apparently this is the highest BDL titer so far reported for Paenibacillus polymyxa. ⺠EPS was formed at fermentations in low nutritional medium. ⺠In the range of 30-40 °C, EPS formation was found to depend on temperature. ⺠Tween80® reduced EPS caused viscosity of fermentation broth.
