Abstract
⺠Enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose under agitated and static condition was compared. ⺠Under agitated condition, reduced enzyme loading resulted in decreased yield. ⺠Under static condition, yield was maintained even under the reduced enzyme loading. ⺠CBH2 in the cellulase enzyme mixture was especially vulnerable to agitation. ⺠Increase in the yield under static condition was caused by exo-exo synergism.
