Abstract
► Enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose under agitated and static condition was compared. ► Under agitated condition, reduced enzyme loading resulted in decreased yield. ► Under static condition, yield was maintained even under the reduced enzyme loading. ► CBH2 in the cellulase enzyme mixture was especially vulnerable to agitation. ► Increase in the yield under static condition was caused by exo-exo synergism.
