Abstract
► Chlorococcum sp. accumulated high lipid up to 56% of dry weight. ► Lipid production was enhanced under mixotrophic conditions. ► The major fatty acids were C16:0, C18:1, C18:2 and C18:3. ► The lipids in Chlorococcum sp. have prospective applications for biodiesel.
