Abstract
⺠The microbial electrolysis cell is feasible to treat wastewater containing Ni2+. ⺠The MEC showed much better performance than MFC and electrolysis on Ni2+ removal. ⺠The metal nickel can be recovered from the cathode electrode of MEC.
