Abstract
▸ A novel hybrid nanocomposite has been synthesized based on nanosilica filled XG-g-PAM. ▸ The developed nanocomposite is an efficient adsorbent for removal of Pb2+. ▸ Nanocomposite having 0.7-wt.% SiO2 showed best adsorption properties. ▸ Adsorption capacity of nanocomposite is significantly higher than other reported adsorbents. ▸ The nanocomposite based adsorbent showed good recyclability.
